Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder
and
Body Dysmorphic Disorder
Once believed to be a rare psychiatric illness, obsessive-compulsive disorder is now known to affect approximately 2-3 million Americans. Although not as well known as OCD, Body Dysmorphic Disorder is also quite common as several million in this country are believed to have it. Unfortunately, there remains a critical shortage of mental health clinicians who are skilled in treating OCD, and there are even fewer who are familiar with BDD.
Scott Granet has specialized in treating both of these disorders for many years, and is well known for his clinical work, worldwide presentations, and for having trained several thousand mental health professionals in the treatment of these two challenging, but treatable psychiatric illnesses.
